Gyeon ceramic coating maintenance routine
To maintain our Gyeon ceramic coating applied to your vehicle and preserve the warranty, it’s critical to follow a regular maintenance schedule. We recommend the following routine:
1. WASH
Wheels: Always start by rinsing out the arches and cleaning the wheels. Generously apply Gyeon Q²M Wheel Cleaner, let it dwell, then agitate with a dedicated wheel brush before rinsing off with clean water.
Pre Wash: Before the contact wash, it’s important to remove as much road grime from the paintwork as possible. An application of Gyeon Q²M Bug&Grime spray and Gyeon Q²M foam using a foam lance is perfect for this.
Contact wash and decontamination: A two bucket wash is recommended – one for Gyeon Q²M Bathe wash shampoo, and the other for clean rinse water. Starting from the roof, gently work down the vehicle in straight lines, rinsing the wash mitt after each panel. After the wash is complete, lower panels may require an application of Gyeon Q²M Tar to aid removal of any bonded contaminants.
2. DRY
Using light dabs of the Q²M SilkDryer EVO towel, or laying it gently on each panel and slowly pulling along will soak up any remaining water.
3. TOP UPS
It’s always best to let the ceramic coating work without interference. However, if required an application of Gyeon Q²M Cure or Gyeon Q²M Quick Detailer is fine to use as a maintenance top up. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
